Sang-Youp Han — South Korea

Sang-Youp Han, a member of the National Sculptors Association and of the Korean National Fine Arts Association, studied at the department of Fine Arts of the Pusan National University in Korea and the department of Fine Arts of the State University of New York in New Palz in the USA.

Sang-Youp Han received the Silver Prize at the 25th National Fine Arts college exhibition in Korea.  This was followed by the Excellent Prize at the 10th Changwon National Fine Arts exhibition in Korea.  In 1999, 2000 and 2001, he was awarded the Special Prize at the 15th Mudung National Fine Arts exhibition in Korea, at the 2000 Korea Great-Sculpture exhibition, and the National Sculptor association in Korea, respectively.

Sang-Youp Han's solo work was exhibited before at the State University of New York, in Block Park in Kingston, New Jersey, and at the Dong-rae Art Center in Pusan, Korea.  He has exhibited abroad at "The Faculty Selected Show" at S.U.N.Y. in New Paltz, New Jersey, and the "International Salon '98" and "Art From Heart" exhibitions at the Ward-Nasse Gallery in Soho, New Jersey.  Sang-Youp Han's many group exhibitions include the 35th Korea National Fine Arts exhibition and the Grand Opening Show of Gumjung Culture Center (Korea).

Between 1999 and 2001, Sang-Youp Han has been a lecturer in Seoul University, Hannam University and Seongsin University.  He is presently a lecturer in Korea, at the department of Fine Arts of the Pusan National University, and at the department of Art Education of Kyungsang National University in Chinju, and the Kyungnam University in Masan.
