Nicolas Dupont

As member of Kugoni Trio, Roeland Hendrikx Ensemble, Duo Andaluza and Ensemble K, Nicolas Dupont already (co-)created over 90 pieces and made recordings for radio and television. Despite his young age, his discography already includes 25 albums.

Living in Brussels since 2017, Nicolas has been travelling to all corners of Europe and the Far East. He has played with Yuzuko Horigome, Justus Grimm, Máté Szücs, Tatiana Samouil, Mihaela Martin, Pascal Moragues, Bruno Delepelaire, Frans Helmerson, Rohan De Silva, Michel Arrignon, Bruno Philippe, Gaby Van Riet, Michel Béroff, Gérard Caussé and Vineta Sareika.

As concertmaster of the Ataneres Ensemble and the Flanders Festival Orchestra, Nicolas worked together with the Orchestre National de Lille, Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen, Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, and Santander Festival Orchestra, among others.

Nicolas Dupont studied with Dejan Mijajev, Yuzuko Horigome, Itamar Golan and Rodney Friend. He also received advice from Mihaela Martin and Zakhar Bron and followed masterclasses with Maxim Vengerov, Augustin Dumay, Ana Chumachenco, Pierre Amoyal, and others. For chamber music, he followed masterclasses with A.R. El Bacha, Bruno Canino, Paul Badura-Skoda, Gavriel Lipkind, Ralph Kirshbaum, Rudolf Buchbinder, Walter Boeykens, and with quartets such as Talich, Prazak, Enesco, Chilingirian, Fine Arts, Ebène and Alban Berg.

Nicolas teaches violin at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels since 2021, and has written articles for Arco and Strad Magazine.
