About the artist

Maya Descheemaeker received her postgraduate degree with Antigoni Goni at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, and her masters degree at Fontys Academy of the Arts (Tilburg) where she studied under Johan Fostier. Maya was awarded several prizes, including the 1st prize at Twents Gitaarfestival (Netherlands) in 2023.
