About the artist

Babette Craens is a Belgian classical pianist known for her concept-driven programs, with a particular affinity for art song and the solo recital. At 17, she was admitted to the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp, where she studied with Sergei Edelman and Eliane Rodrigues, under the guidance of Jozef De Beenhouwer. She completed both her Bachelor and Master degrees magna cum laude. Babette performs regularly as a soloist and chamber musician with a repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary music. Since 2024, Babette is artist in residence at SWUK Vlaanderen.
