Duo Agineko is an internationally active viola-piano duo, established in Antwerp in 2011 by Belgian violist Sander Geerts and Japanese pianist Yasuko Takahashi. They won several international chamber music prizes and released two albums, "Sonatas" and "A tribute to Ysaÿe".

About the artists
Violist Sander Geerts received his diplomas at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp and the Maastricht Academy of Music. He has performed as a soloist with various ensembles and orchestras, such as the Royal Flemish Philharmonic, Philharmonie Baden-Baden and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2006, he won a Special Prize at the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition. In 2012, he became finalist at the 19th International J.Brahms Competition in Austria. Since 2008, he is principal viola of the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra. In April 2018, he recorded the Double Concerto for clarinet and viola by Bruch with clarinetist Roeland Hendrikx and the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
Yasuko Takahashi is an internationally performing pianist, specialized in chamber music. After receiving several national competition prizes in Japan, she finalized her studies at the Royal Music Conservatory in Antwerp. Currently, she is a member of the Danish soloists' association "Solistforeningen" and frequently plays chamber music concerts all over Europe.
Ivo Lybeert studied clarinet at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, where he obtained his degree with great distinction. As a soloist, he has played with the La Monnaie Symphony Orchestra, the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra and the Brussels Philharmonic. Between 1992 and 1998, he was guest professor at the Conservatory of Rotterdam and regularly gave masterclasses. He was professor clarinet at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp (1979-2021) and principal clarinet at the La Monnaie Symphony Orchestra (1985-2021).
