About the artists

Louise Kuyvenhoven obtained her master degree in classical singing at the LUCA School Of Arts and continued her studies at the International Opera Academy in Ghent. From 2017 to 2021, she was artist in residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, after which she received her Artist Diploma and became Associated Artist. Besides opera, Louise has a great affinity for the Lied repertoire. She gave recitals and concerts around the world, and regularly works with the artist Charles Kaisin.

As a teenager, Jan Debel took on the role of pianist and composer for a number of music theater productions, and as an arranger for ensembles. He studied jazz and classical music at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, where he also followed Lied classes. Jan has worked with various vocalists, and forms two regular Lied-duos: with soprano Louise Kuyvenhoven and with tenor Daan Corneillie. He also performs in various chamber music line-ups and is a piano accompanist at the Conservatory of Kortrijk.
